Goodbye

I have made the decision not to keep running this blog any longer. The time has come to say farewell.

I started this blog so full of hope. I did it for personal reasons and I am leaving for the same reasons. I made a lot of mistakes and I only ended up with pain in my heart. I can only say I am sorry for what happened in the past. My goal is to move forward toward a better life.

I tried to help as many people as I could. I wish you all the best of luck in the world of companionship. Thank you for all your kind comments and emails over the years. It was truly appreciated.

Sexy Video Sunday - Double Wedding Theme - Billy Idol - "White Wedding" & Pet Shop Boys - "Heart"

I had nightmares about weddings last night. These two old school 80s music videos sum it up perfectly.

Sexy Video Sunday - The Outfield - "Your Love" (1986)

Just because. :-)

My Date with Devin

Ladies, I would like to introduce you all to a new hunk I had the pleasure of meeting. His name is Devin Christenson, who currently resides in Lake Tahoe. Not only is he a gentleman companion, he has also worked as an exotic dancer for the past seven years. (The picture on the left is not him - he looks much better!) ;-)

I received an email from him back in August asking to meet with him the next time he had a client in Vegas, which would be in a couple of weeks. I said I would be glad to, but then several weeks went by. I worried that perhaps he had gotten too busy or his client fell through and he wouldn't have a reason to come to town after all. To my surprise and pleasure, at the end of September I received a surprise email saying he was going to be back in town to see his clients (a couple) and how he was still interested in seeing me the following evening. I decided to accept his invitation.

After a few flirty emails and texts exchanged over the past 24 hours, we decided to meet for dinner at Piero's, an old-school style Vegas Italian restaurant with 30 years of history. Many celebrities have been known to partake of the fine dining there. I thought it would be a good choice since I had never been there and I have always wanted to go if I had a special occasion to celebrate. I figured since I was going to meet a handsome stranger it was a good time to do so.

When we met I noticed he looked different than the picture he sent me. He actually looked much better than his picture since he used to have long hair and I prefer men with shorter, more clean-cut styles. His hair is chestnut brown, and he has chiseled features, kind of dark and mysterious-looking. I cannot remember what color his eyes were, but they did have a mischievous glint to them. He has a nice, lean, athletic build, not too much muscle, but enough that he keeps in shape. He wore a charcoal grey suit and looked very sophisticated and stylish. At first I was very nervous, not knowing what to expect since we didn't have much time to get to know each other through email or phone beforehand, but once he greeted me with a warm smile, we eased into friendly conversation and I began to relax. He put on some 80s music on his car stereo at my request. He especially liked my joke about iPhone users being "down and dirty" before I even knew he had one. ;-)

We arrived a little early at Piero's and we decided to sit at the bar to have a cocktail before we were ready to be seated. The ambiance of the place is pure Rat Pack-era Vegas, a place the mob would've been right at home at. I almost expected Frank, Dean, Sammy, and Joey to show up and perform an impromptu gig for the crowd in the lounge. The female singer strolled through the room and cozied up to Devin, serenading him with a song. He smiled broadly and got a kick out of it.

We were seated at a cozy little booth and ordered some delicious dishes. I ordered lobster with a side dish of pasta and I believe Devin ordered veal. After a while the conversation began to get hot and heavy, and even deep and meaningful at some moments. It's a bad habit of mine, going into personal issues like relationships, but I felt like he was a good listener and shoulder to cry on. This is the kind of conversation that would make ordinary men run for the hills, but as a male companion, they understand how emotional we women can be sometimes. Maybe instead of a therapist you should hire a male companion instead? LOL :-) But he took it all in stride and we had a wonderful dinner.

Afterward we headed to Green Valley Ranch, a beautiful upscale local casino, for a nightcap. Before we got out of the car he blasted George Michael's "Faith" on his stereo for a laugh. The couple getting into their car next to us could also hear how super loud the song was and also thought it was funny.

At Drop Bar there were plenty of people out for a good time, as is typical in Vegas for a Saturday night. We were amused by the two drunk ladies lapdancing for their men at the table next to us. Devin even showed off some of his dance moves, but I felt too shy to get up and dance with him. He showed me pictures from his daytime business and this did make me feel even more at ease, knowing what he did when he was "off the clock", so to speak. Once we sufficiently imbibed enough cocktails, we decided to spend some private time together.

Once we decided on a nearby hotel and we were alone in the room, I began to get nervous again. We had a little bit of a bumpy start, but to be fair, he did contact me at the last minute. Again, if we had enough time to get to know what my sexual preferences were, that wouldn't have happened. But we were able to get back on the right track and I spent the rest of the night enjoying many passionate and satisfying surprises.

The next morning we rushed down to the lobby to grab a quick bite of continental breakfast because Devin had to get back to Tahoe right away. The young lady who checked us in the night before was still there and gave us a funny look. I would love to know what she was thinking. ;-)

So, if you're looking to hire a classically handsome man who's a little mysterious, a good listener, very passionate, dominant (if you desire) and romantic, give Devin a try. He's also available as an exotic dancer for any girl's night out and also sees couples. I had fun during my rendezvous with him and I know you will too.

Sexy Video Sunday - Lana Del Rey - "Summertime Sadness"

This video isn't so much sexy as it is depressing. Ms. Del Rey is very sultry, in an old-school femme-fatale kind of way. I'm feeling kind of blue today, so this song fits my mood. Her haunting vocals are reminiscent of Stevie Nicks and on other tracks on her album, Born to Die, she adopts the girlish timbre of Gwen Stefani. I dig her sound and I believe she is poised to become the next big thing in pop music.

I love the shots of the iconic Colorado Street Bridge from Pasadena, CA in the video as well.

Sexy Video Sunday - Priceless (2006)

One of my favorite recent foreign movies is Priceless (Hors de Prix) starring Audrey Tautou (Amelie) and Gad Elmaleh (The Valet, he also had a small role in Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris). The story is a modern re-telling of Breakfast at Tiffany's. Irene (Tautou) makes a living as a golddigger who seduces wealthy older men. Jean (Elmaleh) is a humble, naive hotel worker on the French Riviera. After Irene's sugar daddy Jacques gets drunk and passes out on the night of her birthday, she meets Jean at the bar. Because of a case of mistaken identity, Irene believes Jean is a rich hotel guest instead of a hotel employee. The two become acquainted over cocktails. One thing leads to another and they have a drunken tryst in a fancy suite.

A year later, Irene returns to the same hotel with Jacques and notices Jean. Despite the marriage proposal she has coveted from Jacques, she and Jean hook up again. However, Jacques has discovered she has cheated on him and dumps her. She lies and says she has left Jacques to be with Jean, but she soon discovers he has not a penny to his name. He even goes through his entire savings to shower her with gifts and make her happy, at least for a short while. I know the feeling. ;-)

The rest of the movie follows Jean's pursuit of the woman he loves and how he becomes a gigolo to a wealthy widow. We see how determined Jean is to win Irene back, learn the tricks of the trade as a male companion, and by mirroring Irene's behavior, he is able to slowly seduce her and make her fall for him.

The movie is very sexy, as only the French can do, and Audrey is adorable and charming. Gad is hilarious and hints of Alain Delon show in his performance as the innocent, but noble Jean. Now, I'm just waiting for a reverse of this where the man is the main protagonist. Maybe I should write one. :-)

Here's the trailer. C'est magnifique! :-D
