I removed "My First Time With a Male Companion" blog post. I received an extremely vicious and scathing comment from someone this morning that felt like a knife in my heart. I didn't want any more negativity arising from what I wrote, so I removed it. I think that was the poster's aim in the first place, to get me to do that.

Again, I had no idea when I wrote about my negative experience with Companion X two years I go I would get so much flak from it. All I wanted to do was share my experience, however disappointing, with other women out there to show the other side of the coin. It was my side of the story, I told it, and I thought that would be the end of it. I never thought people who didn't know me would judge me so harshly, but that's what happened.

I'm the type of person that says exactly what's on my mind and I try not to sugarcoat the truth. I only regret that I posted my experience online. Perhaps I should not have done it in hindsight, but yet, maybe the negative comments were to be expected. I know comments from strangers shouldn't bother me, but it did. Today I felt so depressed and upset, but as I started to think about it, I'm only letting those strangers on the internet have power over me by bringing me down.

Like I said in my previous post, I have made mistakes. Nobody's perfect. I know who I am and this is just one stranger's opinion (or interpretation) of what happened to me. The poster said I had to "grow up to own up" and they had "less respect" for me after reading my post. It doesn't matter if I gain this person's respect because I will never know who he/she is anyway.

The only person I have to "own up" to is me.

A Learning Experience

I was alerted to a blog post I wrote two years ago about my negative experience with Companion X by a client of his who wanted to protect his reputation. She had a perfect right to do so. After having a conversation with X, I decided the post will remain where it is. That's how I felt at the time and I was only being honest about how everything really was for me. I believe we learn something from both positive and negative experiences. We were able to straighten everything out and I have a new found respect for him because of it.

Over the last two years that I've been involved in the world of companionship, I have experienced both pleasurable and painful times. There's a saying that goes: "Don't regret anything because at the time that was exactly what you wanted." So I have decided to tell myself, no regrets. Although I never intended to get as deeply involved in this world as I have, there was a good reason why I did. If I can help anyone out there, whether it's a lady or couple looking to hire a male escort for the first time, a man who's thinking about being a male companion and wants to know where to start, male and female providers who've been in the profession for a while, or just some random person out there who's curious about my blog, it's all good with me. :-)

A couple of months ago I went to a swingers party in Pahrump with a good friend of mine. I'm not into the "lifestyle", but I decided to check it out. It was "slow" that night, so there was really no action going on. This was shortly before the Fourth of July, so that may have been the reason. One of the hosts of the party had a little debate with me about the lifestyle versus hiring a professional. He asked me, "Why go through all the trouble of hiring a guy when you can find someone at one of our parties?"

My answer was simple: "Because I'm looking for an experience. I want to hire someone for the evening that will be attentive to me, take me out to a nice dinner, fancy hotel, drinks, dancing, the works. Someone of quality, high class, well-dressed, and well-mannered. Yeah, you could find someone at the swinger's club to hook up with, but it doesn't necessarily mean he will have all these qualities. What's wrong with paying for it? If that's what people are into, I don't think there's a problem."

His wife then told me of an experience she had with a gentleman (she didn't say he was a pro) who took her out for a night of dinner and dancing, then she spent the night with him in his suite at the Wynn. They didn't use their real names. Surprisingly, he wanted to know her name, but she refused to give it to him because it would ruin the fantasy.

The host told me he used to be a male escort. He was very good at it and made a lot of money. But he said it was very difficult because there's a lot of pressure to be this "perfect" fantasy figure for every client. Every client is different, so the companion has to play a role of what she expects him to be. He said something interesting, though. He said, "There were certain things that I couldn't do. There was this gray area and it was very difficult for me."

I didn't mention my experience, but I knew exactly what it meant. He didn't have to explain any more. With that being said, my blog also serves as a cautionary tale.

This blog will be here for as long I feel the need to help others through what I've learned from my personal experience. Thank you again for reading it. I appreciate and welcome all your comments.

Quiz: What's Your Orgasmic Type?

I found this through a fan page called Bliss Connection on Facebook. I thought it was insightful and interesting and I wanted to share my results with you.

Your orgasmic flavor is: SEDUCTIVE

You are playful, fun and sexy. You love to tease and being teased. You value play and interactive engagement. You like to be engaged and are easily distracted by new shiny objects. This can be a block in receiving the level of deep connection that will keep you satiated for a long time. Come back to simplicity. Bring your attention back to the simple, intimate connection of touch or of the moment.

If you'd like to take the quiz yourself, it's on this website: Any tidbit of information on how people can improve their sexuality always resonates positively with me. ;-)

Sexy Video Sunday - Enigma vs. Madonna - "The Enigma Within" (Robin Skouteris Mix)

"Erotica" is by far my favorite Madonna song. The Sex period of her career in the early 90s was her most experimental and turned out some of her best work, in my opinion. While looking for remix and mashup videos of "Erotica", I happened to find this sexy video by a DJ named Robin Skouteris. It has elements of Madonna's "Erotica", "Justify My Love", "The Beast Within", and Enigma's "Mea Culpa". The visuals are stunning, sensual, and extremely erotic. This is the perfect song to play at a club or as background music during an intimate evening with a special someone. Robin also has other amazing remix videos on her Youtube channel:

EDIT: I was going to wait until next Sunday to post this video, but it's beyond awesome. I'm going to throw in Robin's Madonna Queen of Pop Megamix as a bonus. Enjoy! :-D

The Return of Sexy Video Sunday! ABC - "Vanity Kills" (1985)

I just discovered this video, but I've been a big fan of the New Wave band ABC for years. The blonde with the big hair in this video is extremely hot. They just don't make stylish, sophisticated productions like this anymore, but I've been in a never-ending state of nostalgia for the 80s since the 90s LOL. :-)

I had the honor of meeting the lead singer, Martin Fry, last night after the free concert ABC gave at the Fremont Street Experience. Nina Blackwood, one of the early MTV VJs, is hosting a concert series with some of the best 80s acts all summer long. I knew I couldn't miss it and I was so glad to get a pic with Martin and his autograph! It was one of the best nights of my life! :-D

Heineken "Open Your World" ad campaign - "The Golden Age"

This is the full version of the Heineken commercial that's been playing on TV quite a bit. I thought it was kind of strange and quirky when I first saw it, but the more I watch it, the more it grows on me. I read it's an homage to various Hollywood characters of the past along with a handsome, dashing hero. The Asteroids Galaxy Tour is the band featured in the video that perform the song "The Golden Age", which is about wanting to return to the past. There's tons of assorted vintage references in the lyrics like "hang with the rats and smoke cigars", "dressed to the nines", and "Sally Bowles in Cabaret".

My interpretation is that it's the coolest party in the world and everyone's invited! Enjoy. :-)

How do I look?

I decided it was time to revamp the look of my blog. I had the same minimalist layout for two years and it was time for a change. While playing around with the new templates I discovered this Vegas-style background and pretty much kept the black and gray colors I used on the old blog. It's definitely more me.

Here's Dimitri from Paris's "Une Very Stylish Fille" just for the heck of it. (Because "I am a very stylish girl!") ;-)

Shauna Grant as Virginia (1983) - A review of an erotic film classic

From time to time I like to post about topics other than male companionship in my blog. Last night I saw a "vintage" (by today's standards) porn film called Virginia starring Shauna Grant. She was one of the biggest adult film actresses in the early 80s until her tragic death from a suicide in 1984 cut short her troubled but fascinating life. I would like to share my thoughts and feelings about the film with you.

I had always been interested in Shauna and had read about Virginia until I finally decided to download it. If you're used to watching too many inane hardcore gonzo pornos where they start going at it like rabbits in five seconds, this movie is not for you. This movie came out during porn's "Golden Age" (70s/early-to-mid-80s) when there were actually production values, scripts, plot lines, and the performers were required to act like in a mainstream Hollywood movie. Yes, there are still big budget porn films still being made today, but they're not as prominent as they were "back in the day" when they were still shot on film.

In my opinion the earlier adult films were more experimental and edgier than anything you see today. Shauna plays the title role, an innocent, naive, virginal young girl who struggles to repress her feelings of erotic love for her own father, Jonathan Glass, played by Paul Thomas. Such taboo topics like incest or underage teen sex were quite common in those days. Today such themes aren't explored as much, if at all, as far as I know.

Virginia is an underrated film. It's not as famous as Deep Throat, Behind the Green Door, or The Devil in Miss Jones, but it's right up there with them, as far as I'm concerned. I liked how the women were natural and didn't shave. They weren't all cookie-cutter with fake boobs, and didn't wear those stupid plastic high heels. Even though it's a strange film, I found myself interested in the plot as much as the sex. There's an underlying theme to Virginia that's psychological. The less I say about it, the better, but this final unraveling of the true plot line totally blew me away because it was so damn creative - and I never would've guessed!

The final sex scene between Virginia and Jonathan was incredible. It really made me feel something other than being turned on. I felt nervous knowing the two characters about to consummate their forbidden love were father and daughter. I also felt such sadness to the point that I started to cry. Everything I have read about Shauna and how she ended up just makes the the scene even more poignant and heartbreaking to watch. How could such a beautiful girl be destroyed?

The scene is like a romantic fantasy come to life, a rarity in adult films. We actually see Jonathan seducing Virginia, and plenty of foreplay before the main event. The director made the camera moves slow and deliberate. There's no rush, and it may seem slow to people who aren't used to this kind of romanticism and true passion, which is what made it so wonderful to watch.

It has been said Shauna didn't like having sex on camera very much, that she lacked enthusiasm during her scenes. She certainly fooled me in this one. I don't care what kind of scene it is - to play love, you must feel it. There is no faking it to make it look convincing to your audience. Paul and Shauna had amazing chemistry and understood the maturity and depth of feeling it took to act in this scene, to the point where it doesn't even feel like acting - that's how real it is. I think they both had balls to pull it off. That is the closest to lovemaking (not just two pros fucking) I have ever seen in an porn movie that it is almost an insult to call it one. I would say Virginia is a classic of erotica, at least this particular scene is. Nothing this lovely and tender that has been captured onscreen could ever be considered bad or dirty.

If you're curious about classic adult films, you should definitely check this one out just for the Grant/Thomas scene alone (if the idea of incest doesn't bother you too much). This film has become of one my favorites.

Here's a rare interview of Shauna from 1983 with her agent, Bobby Hollander, and porn legend Jamie Gillis.

Dude, where's my male escort?

Spotted this mobile billboard (253-DUDE) by the Stratosphere as I was waiting for the Express bus one night after work. I don't know if this agency is a gay male escort agency, or if it was truly revolutionary, a straight one, which would be the first of its kind in Clark County that I know of. I got a kick out of it nonetheless and I had to snap a pic.

And no, I didn't call the number. LOL. ;-)

"I love you, you pay my rent..."

I may be returning. I haven't decided yet. Perhaps when the time is right.
