I thought it was kind of strange and quirky when I first saw it, but the more I watch it, the more it grows on me. I read it's an homage to various Hollywood characters of the past along with a handsome, dashing hero. The Asteroids Galaxy Tour is the band featured in the video that perform the song "The Golden Age", which is about wanting to return to the past. There's tons of assorted vintage references in the lyrics like "hang with the rats and smoke cigars", "dressed to the nines", and "Sally Bowles in Cabaret".
